Our method of cleaning mimics the way that rugs have been cleaned for hundreds of years. People used to hang their rugs and beat them with sticks to remove all of the loose soil. We turn them upside down and run a machine over them to beat all of the loose soil out of them. Then they would take them down to the riverside and float them in cold water letting them roll over all of the rocks to remove the soil. We put them in a cold water bath and run special machines over them to clean them deep down. Then they would take them to the rocks and let them dry, We squeeze as much water out as possible and then hang them in a controlled environment with air moving all around them until they are completely dry. At that time we put all of the finishing touches on the fringe, groom them out, and they are ready to be returned to you, back in they original state.
